Introduction

To add options classes to a draft timetable, options surveys need to be locked to prevent any further changes and enable the export of final class details to be saved to a draft timetable/s. This step is called "finalise".

Once an options survey has been finalised, you will be able to save its options classes to one or more draft timetable/s.

This guide outlines how to finalise an options survey and save options classes to a draft timetable/s.

Finalise an options survey

To finalise a survey, go to Options classes screen and select Finalise:

  1. Select Continue to confirm you want to finalise
  2. The option to Save to timetable will now be available to select

You have now finalised an options survey.

Add options classes and groups to timetable drafts

When you select Save to timetable, you can select one or more draft timetable/s you want to link the options classes and groups to.

Select Add to draft(s)

You have linked your options classes to one or more timetable drafts.

Notes:

  • If you don’t have any draft timetables, select Add new draft timetable to start a new timetable[should link to relevant KB article].
  • Adding options classes to draft timetable/s, creates the student groups and classes in the draft timetable/s. Go to Set up options classes in your timetable draft/s to complete the process.
  • You can save a single options survey to multiple draft timetables. The options classes and groups can be reused across different timetable scenarios.
