My school year: Define term dates, non-teaching days and the daily structure (registration, breaks and lunch)
Rooms: Assign subjects to rooms to ensure lessons can be placed correctly
Students: Confirm all students imported from your MIS are visible and allocated to the correct groups
Groups: Check MIS groups have imported correctly and create Custom Groups only where required
Subjects: Confirm all subjects have been imported successfully
Classes: Use clear, unique class names; only pre-assign rooms when necessary; use custom start time sparingly, to avoid over-constraining the timetable
Staff: Set PPA time, assign teachable subjects and link staff to groups where applicable
Generate
Select Generate timetable
Resolve all pre-check items before continuing
Tailor and publish
Lock confirmed placements, Update lessons requiring adjustments and leave the remaining lessons unlocked (Default)
Re-run the timetable until the outcome meets your requirements
Select Publish
Share with Teachers and Students if required
Manage Timetable
Use Create cover to manage staff absence
For major changes, edit the relevant set up areas and regenerate the timetable
