TABLE OF CONTENTS

Summary: Fix setup issues before generating a timetable
When you open Timetable builder, the system runs automated pre-flight checks to identify missing or invalid setup data (for example, a subject with no eligible teacher or room). Review the Pending tasks list, correct each issue in the relevant setup area, then return to Timetable builder to confirm everything is resolved.

How to run and resolve pre-flight checks

  • In Drafts, select Timetable builder from the left-hand menu.
  • Timetable builder automatically runs pre-flight checks to find missing or invalid setup data (for example, a subject without an eligible teacher or room).
  • Review Pending tasks. Each task explains what needs to be fixed and how to resolve it before a timetable can be generated.

Example: Pending tasks shown in Timetable builder

Fixing items in Pending tasks

  • Open the relevant setup area from the left-hand menu (for example, Rooms, Students & Groups, Staff, or Classes & Subjects).
  • Select Actions > Edit, make the required changes, then return to Timetable builder to confirm the Pending tasks list is clear.

Tip: If tasks remain after you make changes, refresh Timetable builder and re-check the list.
