Introduction
Registration classes define the time in the day for roll call or homeroom. In Timetable 2.0 , they are created separately from classes, which translate to lessons when building the timetable.
Before creating a Registration class, you must have a Registration group available. Registration groups can be accessed in one of two ways:
- Automatically from your MIS sync.
Note: If Registration groups are not available to be synced or uploaded, you can create custom Registration groups and manually assign students to them.

Create a New Registration Class
To add a registration class, go to Classes & Subjects and select the Registration classes tab:
- Select Add Class.
- The Create Registration Class modal will open.
- Select the appropriate Year Group from the dropdown list.
- Enter a name for the Registration Class in the text field. For example; Year 7A, 10 Red or Tutor Group 11B
- Select a Registration Group from the dropdown.
- Select a teacher from the dropdown. If left blank, the solver can assign any available teacher.
- Select a room from the dropdown.
- If left blank, the solver can assign any available room.
- Select Save Details.
You have created a registration class.
Note: Only groups with the Registration group type will be available in this list.
Create a Custom Registration Group
If registration groups of students were not available to sync from MIS/SIS or manual upload, you can create them as Custom Groups.
To create a custom registration group, go to Students & Groups and select the Groups tab:
- Select Add Group.
- Select Registration from the Group Type dropdown.
- Enter a name using the Name this group field.
- Enter a unique identifier in the Add a group ID field.
- Select Next.
- Use the checkbox to add the student/s to the group. Multiple students can be selected at the same time.
- Select Next.
- Check you have all the required students for this registration group and select Create group.
You have created a custom registration group.
Notes:
- You can use filters to find students when creating custom groups by existing groups or gender.
- Create Registration Groups (if they don't already exist) before creating Registration Classes.
